Quandela – a spin-out company from the CNRS’ Centre of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology – builds quantum devices and modules to accelerate the development of quantum communication networks and optical quantum computers.

We are seeking a full-time (permanent contract) experienced Integrated Photonics Engineer to participate in the development of Quandela's optical quantum computing platform. The successful candidate will lead the development of Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs). The engineer's responsibilities includes the simulation and design of PIC components, the interaction with foundries and academic partners, and the follow-up of PICs technological breakthroughs for Quantum applications.

Requirements

• Master degree or PhD in Physics or Photonics.
• 5+ years hand's on experience in design and simulation of PIC devices.
• Solid knowledge of the different low-loss material platforms.
• Experience in characterization and packaging processes is a plus.
• Interest in Quantum Computation and Communication.
• Team player with an ability to work effectively across multiple projects and departments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
