Responsibilities:

• Development of the Design Optimization capability and its supporting systems

• Apply advanced optimization methodologies and techniques to drive innovation in design  

• Deliver verification and validation studies and detailed reports by working with analysts. 

• Collaborate with the Quantum Team to develop novel optimization techniques. 

• Development of consistent mathematical formulations, efficient and robust implementation in the algorithmic library using C++

Qualifications Preferred:

• Theoretical knowledge and implementation of various optimization algorithms 

• Understanding of Quantum Mechanics and basics of Quantum Information Theory 

• Development on Windows and Linux

• Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery 

• Previous experience using enterprise-level applications would be an advantage

BosonQ Psi is looking for a talented Design Optimization Developer with a keen eye for the development of software products and supporting systems. In this role, the Design Optimization Developer will use advanced technical and problem-solving skills to help the team tackle complex issues, satisfy customer requirements, and accomplish development objectives. The ideal candidate will contribute to the development of new methods and algorithms as well as the maintenance and improvement of existing implementations. The spectrum of the work covers the development of consistent mathematical formulations, and efficient and robust implementation in the algorithmic library using C++

• Advanced Graduate degree in Applied Mechanics, Structural/Civil Engineering, or Physics.

• MS + Minimum 2 years of related industry experience or a Ph.D. in architecting and developing large-scale design optimization codes in the topology optimization, shape optimization, or sizing optimization areas 

• Minimum 2 years of programming experience in C++. 

• Should be highly motivated and dynamic, and have good communication and analytical skills, be a problem solver and a team player, and be interested in working in a start-up culture
