What you'll be doing:

    • Development work in the application code base for Q-CTRL’s Fire Opal product
    • Assist in integrating Fire Opal into external customer’s systems
    • Implementing new control and error mitigation techniques developed through research for improving circuit performance in Fire Opal
    • Mentoring other developers and autonomously addressing high priority work
    • Review and address code and comments submitted by the team via pull requests
    • Build tooling surrounding logging, experimentation, and quantum device benchmarking

Ideally you'll have:

    • A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, physics, or related STEM field
    • 1+ years of experience as an individual contributor in a professional software role
    • 4+ years of programming experience with Python (preferred), Rust, or Go
    • A background in quantum computing, software design, high performance computing, or the related

It would be fantastic if you have these skills/backgrounds but not essential:

    • A Ph.D. in computer science, experimental physics, mathematics, or the related
    • Experience with Rust, Go, C++, and/or GQL
    • Experience in experimental physics or the design and integration of superconducting quantum devices
    • Experience in robotics, machine learning, or systems programming

The base salary for this full-time position ranges from $82,500 - $198,000. This range reflects both the minimum and maximum annual target salary which is based on a number of factors such as experience, job related-skills, education and work location.

Please note, the base salary range provided does not include additional benefits, bonuses, employee stock options or any other forms of compensation which may be offered dependent on position level.
