About us

We hold the key to making quantum useful! Q-CTRL is a company with a deep start-up spirit with offices in Sydney, Los Angeles and Berlin. Our goal is to revolutionize the quantum future of technology by delivering transformational, real-life outcomes for the world’s most innovative and impactful industry. Simply put, we make quantum technology useful.

We’re led by our values; to be real, be trusted, be just, and be revered. They guide us in everything we do - how we work together and how we shape the future of the quantum field. We want the best talent in the world to join our team - from operations, product, design and marketing through to quantum research.  So whether you’re a quantum expert or simply unsure where you fit into a business like ours, we want to hear from you!

About the role:

The Talent team works across the entirety of the global company with a key focus on helping Q-CTRL attract world class talent to our rapidly growing business. Our Talent team is the enabling function for our growth.  As we continue to scale up, we must also mature our Talent function, and that’s where you come in!

Reporting directly to the Talent Manager, the Talent Acquisition Specialist has a wide range of responsibilities, acting as a global resource within the company on all things talent. You will focus primarily on sourcing aligned to current needs as well as building and managing our talent community for the future. You will also work closely with the Talent Manager to continue to mature and set the future direction of the Talent team - be that through optimising our recruitment processes and tools, creating ongoing partnerships within industry and academia across the globe, or identifying and participating in talent related conferences and events, to name a few.

What you'll be doing:

    • You will drive the end-to-end recruitment process, branding, and positioning to bring on world class talent to the team.
    • You’ll work with a diverse group of stakeholders including Scientists, Researchers as well as Product, Technology and Marketing specialists to name a few.
    • Become a trusted advisor across the business providing hiring guidance leveraging market insights and current trends.
    • Assist and own new and existing talent pools for both current and future opportunities.
    • Work closely in collaboration with the Talent Manager to ensure the Talent function continues to evolve in a sustainable way, aligned to the company's strategic direction.

Ideally you'll have:

    • A minimum of 4 years experience in a Talent role, ideally within a startup or tech related environment.
    • Experience hiring, building and engaging talent communities globally preferably within Australia, the US and/or Germany.
    • Experience working with a diverse group of stakeholders with the ability to advise, influence and support at all levels within the company.
    • Whilst we work in a fast paced and constantly evolving environment, we operate with thought and strategic direction. Experience balancing both tactical and delivery is therefore extremely important.
    • You must have a keen interest in emerging and deep tech with a desire to work for a world leading, global startup.
    • Proficiency with Lever ATS is a plus as is previous experience optimising and managing recruitment systems.
