The Nanofabrication team is working between the cleanrooms of our academic partners, and our lab in Paris, in order to tackle the fabrication and characterization of our quantum chips.

We are seeking a motivated intern to assist the nanofab team in developing and implementing a comprehensive characterization process to monitor the quality of all superconducting devices for each produced wafer, with the ultimate goal of improving the overall process.

As an intern, your responsibilities will include:

    conducting SEM and AFM imaging
    conducting electrical measurement tests
    conducting a literature review to identify the best characterization techniques for our superconducting devices.
    establishing an analysis and reporting procedure for the full process, which will help us identify any potential issues and implement corrective actions

This internship will provide you with the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the field of superconducting device characterization and contribute to the development of a critical process for ensuring the quality of our fabricated qubits.

Requirements

The job has been made for you if you have:

    Background in materials science, electrical engineering, or a related field
    Experience with SEM and AFM imaging techniques
    Familiarity with electrical measurement techniques
    The ability to conduct a comprehensive literature review and identify the best characterization techniques
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    Good written and verbal communication skills in English
    Attention to detail and ability to establish standard operating procedures for data analysis and reporting
