Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Finance Analyst to join our team on a part-time basis, approximately 15 hours per week. The Finance Analyst will be responsible for analyzing financial statements, supporting general business operations, and implementing solutions to drive cost management best practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, financial modeling, and project management. Tasks will include:

  • Developing and maintaining financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and business performance.

  • Working with our accounting team to improve finance processes from order to purchase reconcilliation.

  • Program managing grant-related projects and ensure timely delivery and high-quality results.

  • Preparing reports and presentations to communicate financial and process insights and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.

  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to keep our competitive radar fresh, and identify potential opportunities and risks.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, or related field.

  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting, business analysis, data analysis, financial modeling, or related field.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the technology industry and working with startups.

  • Understanding of quantum computing and its impact on business and industries.

Requirements

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US. The candidate must have the capacity to comply with the requirements of applicable U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
