Quantinuum is expanding its business globally and recently signed a strategic partnership agreement with leading Japanese enterprise to collaborate in the delivery of quantum computing solutions in Japan and the Asia-Pacific region. This Strategic Partner Manager role is newly established to build and develop alliances and channel partnerships for our deep and emerging technology products. This is your opportunity to join at the onset of early stage of business expansion in Japan sales team. You will work in Quantinuum’s Tokyo office and be responsible for the Asia-Pacific wide business opportunity including Japan.  You will work closely with our business development, marketing, and world-leading scientific research teams. We are developing quantum software, applications, and hardware that will have a future impact on our everyday lives. You will have previous and extensive experience as a partner/channel manager in the technology sector, and quantum computing/high performance computer/scientific research experience is highly appreciated.  

Key Responsibilities:

    • Enable business partner to develop use case, business model utilizing our products and quantum computing. (Key focus area will be pharmaceutical, materials development, energy, mobility, logistics, etc.)
    • Establish & optimize partner sales operation including distribution contract, product pricing and delivery.
    • Drive executive alignment for partner relationships (e.g., product, services, marketing, engineering).
    • Coordinate with Quantinuum leadership and sales teams to optimize the sales process and achieve the objectives. 
    • Partner with Quantinuum leadership to eliminate channel conflict  and build effective rules of engagement.
    • Establish annual plans to meet revenue growth objectives and maintain fiscal accountability.
    • Deliver business performance reviews to assess operational metrics/effectiveness on a recurring (quarterly) basis with internal & external stakeholders.
    • Craft and implement onboarding program for partners

Requirement:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education. 
    • 8+ years of working experience in technology or technical B2B companies in Japan.
    • 3+ years of proven partner development and track record within B2B software, scientific, or emerging technology products.
    • Experience in closing partner/channel-driven sales opportunities for technical products.
    • Experience in selling complex solutions consisting of multiple product/service elements to large enterprises.
    • A track record of successful collaboration with both technical and non-technical teams.
    • Ability to proactively define action plans to drive end-to-end sales process to achieve performance goals.
    • Fluency in Japanese to conduct complex and technical business communication including verbal and written presentation. 
    • Fluency in English to communicate scientific detail and business plan with the global team.

Desirable:

    • Post graduate education.
    • An educational background in natural sciences or engineering.
    • Experience or a strong interest in quantum or emerging technologies.

Location:  Office in Otemachi Tokyo, Japan (with flexibility to work remotely)
