To support our ambitious growth plans, we are seeking an experienced FC to join Quantinuum's finance team. Under the direction of the Financial Director, the FC will be responsible for supporting our UK financial infrastructure and reporting.With your ability to thrive in fast-paced and growing environments, you will support the implementation of the tools and policies to ensure high quality compliance and reporting, and to enable our leadership to convert financial information into corporate strategy.This is a hybrid position, we are looking for a person who can travel to our Cambridge and London offices at least twice a week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ownership of monthly management accounts and group reporting pack (monthly/quarterly/annual)
• Ownership of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Indirect management for the daily workflow of other finance team members for mentoring/reviewing of work product
• Oversight of the Accounts payable/staff expenses process
• Responsible for sales invoice process, and associated monthly revenue recognition calculations
• Ownership of statutory accounts process & dealing with  auditors
• Preparing VAT returns
• Ownership of corporate tax data requests (including  R&D tax credits)
• Supporting the forecasting/budgeting data preparation, variance analysis
• Reviewing processes and procedures where necessary and implementing best practice if appropriate
• Stakeholder management and business partnering
• Support to our German & Japanese entity when needed 

Required experience:

• Qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA with 3-4 years SME industry experience (6-8 years total)
• Demonstrable experience of introducing new finance processes, control and effective change
• Flexible approach, hands on, able to look at big picture
• Strong IT skills (Advanced excel- vlookup/sumifs/pivots, etc)/ experience of ERP system)
• Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management
• Demonstrable experience of working to tight period end deadlines
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field Master's degree in business administration or advanced degree in related field a plus
• Experience and knowledge of accounting and/ or finance management, particularly within a growth environment
