Role

• Conduct independent and collaborative R&D to support the current and next generation of nanofiber cavity QED system for quantum computing
• Lead a design, development, operation, troubleshooting and upgrade of new experiment systems under supervision of CTO
• Mentor and technically assist engineers and interns

Qualification 

PhD completed prior to starting

Requirements

• Basic knowledge in quantum computation and quantum communication
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English (Japanese is not mandatory)
• Collaborate in an interdisciplinary environment and adapt to the fast growing environment

Preferred requirements

• Minimum 3 years experience in developing/operating experiments to control quantum system
• Experience in developing, operating and trouble-shooting experiments in at least one of the following fields:
+ Cooling, trapping and manipulating ions or neutral atoms
+ Control of atom/photons in cavity QED system
+ Coherent control of other quantum systems for quantum computing or quantum communication e.g., superconducting circuits, quantum dots
+ Quantum optics

Compensation

The salary starts from 8~10 Million JPY (annual), commensurate with experience and qualification and rises based on performance
